What does the programme do?

The programme works on the teaching and practising the basic principles of designing and facilitating workshops on conflict resolution. It can be used to establish a body of skilled peer facilitators within a school, who will be able to share what they have learnt with other students, support staff running programmes, or design and run their own programmes, therefore multiplying the impact across the community.

Programme Outcomes:

  • Understand and be able to use core conflict resolution and communication skills
  • Commit to taking a leadership role in the school/ community
  • Utilise the principles of facilitating groups discussing difficult or challenging topics
  • Know how to plan and deliver fun, interactive games and exercises on the topic of conflict resolution, communication skills and leadership

How it runs:

  • Programme can be run within a school, college or private residence
  • 3 days full training including practice delivery time
  • Take-away resources covering the basics of facilitation and conflict resolution
  • Up to 20 participants, 8 minimum
  • Follow-up mentoring session, and support for first delivery after the programme


    • £1650 – for in-school programme
    • £120 – for self-referral sign-up – next programme dates 1st, 8th, 16th Feb
    For those who are interested, there’s the possibility to intern with Selina, and deliver programmes to ‘real’ participants in schools or the community; an opportunity that would include mentoring and guidance on improving your facilitation skills.
